Roadmap: coming soon
AI inference and GPU workloads
Section titled “AI inference and GPU workloads”Status: coming soon. Inference does not fit NDSR’s model today: models are large, GPUs are not deterministic across vendors and drivers, and modules have a 64 MiB memory limit and no GPU access.
Planned approach: an off-chain compute work class where tasks name an artifact (a container image or
model hash) instead of a Hive Bytecode call, results are committed as hashes, and verification uses redundant
runs within a tolerance, random spot checks by validators, or TEE attestation, with payouts that finalize after
a dispute window. Projects will be able to require GPUs (scheduling.requirements.gpu). Small deterministic
models (integer or fixed-point) can already run inside a Hive Bytecode module today, within the memory and gas
limits.
Storage, bandwidth and uptime proofs
Section titled “Storage, bandwidth and uptime proofs”Status: coming soon. A resource-proof work class: each round a project’s verifier module derives a
deterministic challenge for each miner (read this chunk, transfer these bytes, answer this ping), the miner
answers out of band, and the committee runs the verifier’s judgment and votes on it. Units come from the
verdicts. This needs device-side agents for storage and networking and makes the manifest’s storage_mb
requirement binding. Uptime-based slashing is planned with it.
EVM-compatible contracts
Section titled “EVM-compatible contracts”Status: coming soon. Necter settles on Ethereum Sepolia today (vaults, staking, registry) and runs its own Hive Bytecode modules; it does not execute Solidity or EVM bytecode. EVM compatibility is planned for a later phase. Until then, combine the two: keep contracts on Ethereum and use Necter for verified computation whose results your contracts or backends consume.
